Data used by the app
- Location access is optional. Coordinates used for sunrise and sunset calculations stay in the app's local preferences.
- Learning history and model settings remain local.
- Ambient-light readings, enabled sensors, and calibration remain local.
- Trial and license state are stored locally, so the app can remember your activation.
- ChillScreen has no advertising, cloud synchronization, or in-app analytics.
Updates
You can choose whether ChillScreen checks for updates automatically. Update requests do not include your screen contents, location, learning history, or display settings.
You decide when to download and install an update.
Purchase and activation
Creem handles purchases and payment details. To activate a license, ChillScreen sends your license key and an identifier for your Mac’s installation to our licensing service, hosted on Cloudflare, which checks the license with Creem. Your screen contents, location, schedule, and learning history are not sent.
This website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which receives connection information such as your IP address when you visit. We do not use website analytics or request your location. The interactive demonstration only changes the illustration, not your display.
Removing local data
Removing ChillScreen does not automatically remove its local macOS preferences. Learning history and feature-specific defaults can be reset from Advanced Settings before uninstalling the app.
